I have played quite a few games from Eclipse games except for Super toy cars, just couldn't deal with another arcade racer. However their other games hasn't disappointed me i absolutely loved Spheriods with its unique gameplay and Tachyon Project which I did enjoy while not being a huge fan its genre. This developer took a shot at a arcade football game set in the golden age of football, lets just say this game was very interesting to play.
The first thing i want to talk about is the amount of modes this game has. There is a championship mode where you can play in a few different types of cups, which are a african cup , asia cup, europa cup and a world cup. Theres also legendary matches which you are given a huge moment in history and you have to recreate it. There are also a friendly's mode where you can do what you want and theres also an online mode which is always a plus. With the addition of all these modes as you can see there is lots to do here.
Probably the best feature in this game is the addition of arcade features in the game and not making it to realistic. Kind of reminds me of the old school super crazy fifa street from back in the day that Ea has long since forgotten. Unfortunately this is where all the positives for this game stops. When simple mechanics in your game doesn't work it really makes me miss fifa. Just the tackling doesnt work properly both sliding and bodying doesnt work. Every few tackles will be a foul for some reason and it really slows the game down. Also any time you try and get creative with goals it never works and the ball gets saved or it misses . So what i had to resort to is literally running right front of the goalkeeper and just shooting every time which made the game very boring.
Also the stickers in game which gives you boosts in some way like having your strikers run faster or making so that your defenders do cleaner slide tackles. While this was a fun idea this definitely got annoying to unlock when you saw the requirements for them, i literally had to play the world cup like 5 times, the europa cup like 4 times and you get the picture its lazy and it made the game very boring.
When I first started playing this game it was fun but that stopped with the dumb grinds and mechanics that didn't work. To think i thought this could fill the fifa street shaped hole in my heart, that was just wishful thinking. If you value your money i suggest you stay away from this game unless you really want some punishment.
